I still think one of the great old driving tunes is Radar Love by Golden Earring. You can't help but drive 30 over the limit when you're listening to that one.

oh i like that sugarcult song.."los angeles" downloaded that.. your all forgetting "swagger like us" cough.. cough.. thats all of us.. new song out called pop champagne.. has good bass.. lately though my moods are all over the place..( i AM female).. i go from zepplin.. to metallica (love them) to old school.. to new sh%t.. you know what i listen to when i get nuts.. "let the bodies hit the floor" my son even bangs his head to it..lol.. we ALL have to be in the mood for that one..

I have a shuffle but I have it loaded with the songs I use for the gym and don't want to change those up. I'm going to have a 6 disc changer in this car so I may as well load it up with something! LOL!

Today a couple of oldies popped up in the playlist on my way home from work: Everlong by Foo Fighters and Machine Head by Bush. Can't help but mash the accelerator when those shuffle up.

Heard a CLASSIC Stones song today...Waiting on a Friend. I love that tune. Something about the blend of sax, guitar and piano with those vocals is just so evocative for me!

Join the club. They've gotta be 10+ years old I guess. Compared to some of the other stuff I listen to and what others have listed, they're practically ancient! I mean, Bush isn't even a band anymore.

The new T.I. ALBUM IS SICK!!! I've been listening to it last few weeks in the car.

And Gavin Rossdale's solo single from this Summer was WEAK! I was beyond underwhelmed with that effort.

The iPod in the car is one of the best features. I've got 1800 songs to choose from (8GB gen 2 Nano). I listen to Coldplay a lot. Every track in their live 2003 CD is great, plus their newer stuff. Although I mostly listen to classic rock (The Who, Tom Petty, anything by Eric Clapton, REM, etc), I do have some newer stuff. My latest mix has Kelly Clarkson, Delta Goodrem, Sara Bareilles, KT Tunstall plus a lot of misc Grammy winners. All are great up tempo driving songs plus I listen to it when working out.

I like that Delta Goodrem song a lot, too. They play it a lot on XM station BPM which is the dance/trance/house music channel.

Oh gawd, I know! What a disappointment. Sounds like all the other new pseudo-hard-rock corporate crap on the radio! Bleckkk! And Bush freakin rocked--one of the best concerts I've seen.

Ooooh that's a great mix! Still absolutely LOVE The Fixx and all of those bands. I still don't know what genre those groups are. They're not punk, they're not pop, they're not rock. I guess maybe new wave comes closest? What do you call that genre?
